Description

Extremely rare cd with the Us act Majesty that later became Dream Theater. This album features the very first Majesty demo from 1985 before the current Dream Theater members decided to recruit a singer. Majesty was originally planned to be a band doing instrumental albums. The album also features the fourth demo and the first with a singer. This fourth demo was made back when Dream Theater were just young Rush-loving kids looking to rise to metal stardom. Every member, with the exception of the vocalist, went on to be in Dream Theater, and everyone but Kevin are still in the band today. The songs on this demo sound just like the ones on ‘When Dream And Day Unite’, meaning they sound like cool Queensryche-type music with keyboards. But, John Petrucci doesn't really do anything special on guitar here, which surprised me. The bass is much more audible here than on any of their studio albums, and Myung does some cool slapping and popping. This cd is however extremely rare and a must for any true Dream Theater fan. But don't expect an early A Change of Seasons here. Used copy with some visable scratches but plays fine Track listing: 1. Afterlife-demo 85 2. The Ones Who Help To Set The Sun-demo 85 3. Ytse Jam-demo 85 4. Cry For Freedom-demo 85 5. The Killing Hand-demo 85 6. Resurrection Of Ernie-demo 85 7. Another One-demo 86 8. Your Majesty-demo 86 9. A Vision-demo 86 10. Two Far-demo 86 11. Vital Star-demo 86 12. March Of The Tyrant-demo 86
