Description
One of those cash in compilation releases made officially by a record label but without any real endorsement or involvement from the band. Anthology is a comprehensive look at the bands first fifteen years and if youre curious about the band and don’t own any of their albums then this might be a good way to start. However if you have the studio material then you can avoid this as it doesn’t feature any rare or hard to find material. Manowars image and Joey DeMaios attitude is as funny as Spinal Tap and the cover on this compilation album showing the band in loincloths could compete in the most ridiculous covers ever contest. Their music however is something else. When you don’t need to see the band and you just listen to their music then you will find some top notch and solid heavy metal. This album really includes some of the bands best material but none from their best album Hail To England but I guess that’s a license problem more than anything else. You will just love the tracks Manowar or Blood Of The Kings in its pounding traditional metal style or the early speed metal track Metal Daze. So don’t judge the book by its cover if its metal youre after than Manowar it shall be Track listing: 1. Manowar-from Battle Hymns 1982 2. Metal Daze-from Battle Hymns 1982 3.
