The story of Master Massive goes as far back as 1987 when they were formed under the name of Zanity in their hometown of Eksjo. Some demo material was recorded but the band never got anywhere even though some say they were one of the best unsigned Swedish metal bands at the time. Guitarist Janne Strand would then recorded a 6 song demo with singer Erik Forsberg with an urge of doing something different. They created Master Massive and on their album Time Out Of Mind they brough in some guests such as: Peo Pettersson (Axia,Leviticus), Katarina Lilja (Therion), Erik Forsberg, Öivin Tronstad (Jupiter Society), Tony Yoansson (Masquerade), Tony Niva (Niva, Lion´s Share), Petter Karlsson (Therion) and Karl Nyhlin.
