Description

The German outfit named Me Against The World released their debut offering in 2018 and if you are lookout for galloping and bombastic metal with a lot of light and shade to it, then this one might be something for you. There are loads of kick-ass riffs, deadly solos, and great song arrangements to be found on Breaking Apart, which is awesome. The downside to all of that is that the vocals are rather weak and uninspired, and what sucks is even more is that they detract from the otherwise strong and focused tracks that make up the album. Breaking Apart has many qualities and is certainly not bad, and its robust and muscular compositions have plenty of color and nuances to them, but it is let down by forgettable and flat vocals Having said that, there is a lot of potential to this one and it is their very first album, so it will be interesting to see how these guys will develop their sound and identity in the future.
