Menswear were a Britpop band formed in October 1994 from Camden in London. They managed to create a big hype and received a great deal of press before recording a single note. They released a number of singles and the album, Nuisance, that would reach the number 11 in the UK charts on its initial release, but it would take years before the album finally went platinum and got recognized by the British Phonographic Industry. But back in 1995 this was a Britpop band that toured the country and this album captures the band live at the Anson Rooms in Bristol on the 17th of April, at the MTV Studios in Camden on the 8th of August and ends with material from a secret gig at The Underworld in Camden, London on the 1st of November. However even if 1995 was a busy year for the band and the label released 5 singles from their debut they still werent that interested to release their follow up album, Hay Tiempo in 1997. That mostly-forgotten second album was released only in Japan but shortly afterwards the group broke up. Menswear were often said to be “charming, handsome young men that wanted to be in a pop group more than they wanted to play music” and with that in mind its still not bad to manage to release two hit singles Daydreamer and Being Brave and become one of the most popular Brit-pop bands of 1995.
