Special import. Metal Star was a German magazine dedicated to hardrock and heavy metal. If you get hold of the first issue from 1988 then you will get the idea that it might have been a one off publiction as it was part of the Hamburgs StadtMagazin OxMox which they called Hart And Heavy Special. Back in those days it also had a special section called Hamburger Bands checking out the local scene which back in those days wasnt bad at all with Helloween, Running Wild, Mania and later it would even feature Gamma Ray, Paragon, Stormwarrior and so on. The magazine would be released monthly up to the mid 90s and was at one point labeled Europes leading hardrock monthly.
This issue has 92 pages written in Deutsch and features interviews or articles about McAuley Schenker Group, Whitesnake (4 pages), Rush (3 pages), Iron Maiden (3 pages), Ramones, Lou Gramm, Poltergeist, Testament, Deep Purple History (11 pages), Mekong Delta, Law And Order, Pestilence (2 pages), Scanner (3 pages) and lots of album, demo and live reviews, news section and more.
