Description
In America features two live recordings with Metallica. First out is a show from Seattle Memorial Stadium recorded on Friday the 23rd of June 2000. This was the opening date on their Summer Sanitarium Tour that ran for 20 shows across the Usa. This would be the final tour for bassist Jason Newsted. The opening date was part oc the EMP (Experience Music Project Opening Celebration) where the band shared bills with acts such as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kid Rock and Filter. Metallica performed a shorter set but no less stunning. The second one comes from June 19th 1999 when the band were playing the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre in California during The Garage Remains The Same Tour. This is an absolute killer proshot recording. This was the 7th Annual KROQ Weenie Roast where Metallica was headlining among acts such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blink 182, Eve 6, The Freestylers, Kid Rock, Limp Bizkit, Lit, Live, The Living End, Lo Fidelity Allstars, Orgy, Pennywise, Smash Mouth, and Sugar Ray. Metallica performed a quite an extraordinary set featuring lots of cover cuts from their Garage albums.
