2015 re-issue of 2012 album

The Brazilian heavy metal band Metalmorphose was formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1983. In 1985 they debuted on vinyl with the release of the Ultimatum split album with Dorsal Atlantica. Dorsal Atlantica and Metalmorphose was two pioneers when it came to Brazilian heavy metal. This split album are among the first Brazilian Metal albums. Both bands were at the time singing in Portuguese but they managed to translate the feeling of British Metal and the release would influence the Brazilian Metal scene for years to come. Every Brazilian metal head has grown up with tunes such as Metalmorphose track Cavaleiro Negro (Black Knight) and Dorsal Atlanticas Imperio De Sata (Satan’s Empire) from this split album. Dorsal Atlantica went on to pursue a career in the underground metal circle and continued to release albums up to 2005. Metalmorphose however took a different route and they continued to play live, write and record demo material but nothing more was released except a vinyl single in 1988 the same year the band disbanded. In 2008 a friend of them were putting together a tribute to The Beatles White album as it was 40 years of that important albums release. Metalmorphose was asked to participate and suddenly the original line-up was back together recording a metal version of the Beatles track Sexy Sadie. They had a blast and are since then reunited and the legacy of this band lives on. A compilation album called Maldicao was released in 2009 and a live album saw the light of day in 2010. Then in 2012 came this first full length studio album by this forefathers of Brazilian metal. It was about time
