Double cd with an 80-pages book about Metropol
Metropol was a Swedish radio program hosted by Niklas Levy and Ingvar Storm during the period of September 1982 to December 1991. The program was broadcast on Swedish Radio P3 on Friday evenings between 17 and at 20 and it usally had about one and a half million listeners. The program was a music program where it mostly played the latest hits mixed with older hits. Standing elements included the figure Göte Johansson, Flipp Eller Flopp and Spanarna. In Spanarna a panel of celebrities got to discuss trends. These celebrities include Jacob Dahlin, Jonas Hallberg, Jonas Gardell and Helena von Zweigbergk. Flip Eller Flop meant that a panel consisting of three people, usually an artist, a music producer and a listener could listen to new songs and they would then vote if they thought the song would be a hit (flip) or not (flop). The program received the Expressen Radio Prize in 1984. Two music albums with music from the years were compiled. This is the first of them, a double cd with an accompanying memoir about the program while the second one, More Metropol, was a single compilation cd that initially only was sold by TV-Shop.
