Description
For many, Miranda Lambert is the epitome of country music, creating the best albums in the history of the genre at a time when country overall is at a very low ebb. Here fifth studio album, Platinum, is more classic Miranda, hard core country, then a touch of southern rock, a sweet ballad, blended on a collection like only she can get away with. This is Mirandas most sonically ambitious album yet, exploring different musical realms while still maintaining her strong country roots. The album embodies many emotions and by extension holds a song for everyone. Platinum is commercial, yes, but something about it beckons that it is far from ordinary. What makes Platinum particularly special is Miranda’s ability to combine dark wit with some truly evocative lyrics. Overall Platinum is a wonderful album and I would recommend to anyone, particularly lovers of country music and rock n roll. Super awesome.
