In Memoriam sees Mistur return with a masterpiece fielding long and layered arrangements, clever melodies and progressive elements mixed with its signature brand of sognametal. This album ties seamlessly with its predecessor Attende and it offers epic and melodious black metal. Just like on Attende we have very long and highly varied instrumental passages on the six long songs. The only difference to Attende is precisely the fact that the keyboards are not quite so powerful and some music are a bit faster. The vocals consist mainly of harsh vocals and sometimes clear vocals and they create always beautiful melodies. Overall if you liked Attende you will like this album. The band is very good to create atmospheric viking pagan black metal. Fans of Windir should check this out.
