From the depths of the primeval forest in Hultsfred comes Monark X, a new band founded by Pelle from Snorting Maradona. The lyrics are socially critical but the band isnt pure punk as they sound heavily influenced of some alternative rock acts that roamed the country in the late 70s and early 80s. Think of Strindbergs, Wilmer X, Kal P Dal or Ebba Grön’s last album. Teh album also includes some saxophone which wasnt strange to use on albums by the bands mentioned above at that time. What seperates Monark X from those bands however is that they have a slightlier angrier and dirtier touch.
