Very rare original 1994 demo cassette

The band was created in 1989 by Heathen Hoof and Minotauri member Ari Honkonen, under the name of Testator. In 1990 the name was changed to Thor’s Hammer and in 1991 to Morningstar. When performing with Morningstar Ari called himself Sinister Satyr. This was the third out of three demos the band did before releasing their debut album Rivendell in 1995. The promotape 1994 as this third demo was called basically features 3 advance versions of tracks that would appear on their debut album Rivendell a year later. Where their early material was very much old school black metal there can be traces on this recording that can be seen as the first step towards their own peculiar style. The music is influenced by the primitive days of the heavy metal sound with black metal ideas and lyrics about pagan themes and Ari still belts out the Ughs in a true Tom G Warrior and C.Frost style. This demo was released with two different cover artworks
