Motley Crues fifth studio album, Dr.Feelgood is widely regarded by music critics and fans as being Mötley Crüe’s strongest album, being the first album the band has recorded after their quest for sobriety and rehabilitation in 1989. Today Dr. Feelgood has sold more than 7 million copies in the U.S. alone and in various interviews, members of Motley Crue stated that it was their most solid album from a musical standpoint, and their best album to date, due in no small part to their collective push for sobriety. The title track was released as the album’s first single and it became the bands first American Top Ten hit, peaking at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 on October 28, 1989. It is their highest ranked single to this day. In November 1989, the single was certified Gold by the RIAA for more than 500,000 units shipped in the United States. This tune is infectious and hard to resist and it was also was ranked at #41 on VH1’s 100 Greatest songs of the ’80s. The maxi single version of the single also featured Sticky Sweet from the new album and All In The Name Of from the Girls Girls Girls album.
