The Party Is Over were recorded on Motley Crue’s final tour at St Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland on the 9th of November 2015 and they brought with them, their biggest show of their career. And the show went of with a bang of Motley Crue hits. It was full throttle with Girls, Girls, Girls and Wild Side. Two tracks that alot of band wished they had written and would have performed as an encore. The show continues, as we could have foreseen with the highlights of their career Same Ol’Situation, Looks That Kill and Shout At The Devil among others, as well as the covers of Smokin In The Boys Room and Anarchy In The UK makes it onto the set-list. Tommy Lee hits his barrels with power and precision and it’s always a pleasure to see him live. This time he brought a gigantic roller coaster hanging on the roof of the room, which starts from his drum-riser on stage to finish in the middle of the room behind the mixer! Tommy and his drums turn right and left, make somersaults and from time to time he stops upside down, keeps playing and talks with the crowd. For the climax, Dr. Feelgood and Kickstart My Heart we see Nikky Sixx and Vince Neal transported to the public with two huge mechanical arms between a fireworks orgy for the grand finale. And when the band leaves the stage its to the notes of the ballad Home Sweet Home. This was a special nostalgic night and probably the last time Switzerland saw the Crue. But who knows rock history is full of bands that have grown tired of their retirement.
