This album with Motorhead was recorded live at Storsjöyran in Östersund, Sweden. So it’s probably not just us in the Yron Group that remembers them. It will probably make the whole of Östersund, says Lars Sillrén, Chairman of Storsjöyran Evenemang AB. The sound of the scene in the Badhus Park was discussed a lot after the concert and it ended with that the organisation introduced a ban on higher noise levels than 98 dB (A) in average. People demanded this as they called this Motörhead show a horror gig. Motorhead was playing at 115 dB (A) in average. It was so high that a single-second listen could give permanent hearing loss. The original concert review ran “Everything louder then everybody else” is the name of Motörhead’s latest live album. The title couldnt have been more fitting. I met a bunch of guys from Vilhelmina on Saturday night. They had travelled over 20 miles to listen to the band. They would not have had to do that. Lemmy was probably heard all the way to Vilhelmina. The sound was merciless. Motorhead should be enjoyed loud but this was just too much. It did not get much better when someone not too cleverly from the audience tried to lower Lemmy with a beer bottle. – Who trew this?, Lemmy asked the audience. Who’s the fuckin ‘idiot that tried to blind me. Come backstage I fuckin ‘blind you. Then in the middle of Metropolis, another object moves on stage and the band says good night and climbs off, even though it’s only the sixth song. It takes a couple of minutes before a really angry Lemmy, with all rights, returns to the stage. “You are great,” says Lemmy to the audience and continues: “But somewhere out there is an idiot. If there is one more thing thrown on stage, it’s done. I didnt start to play rock ‘n’ roll 35 years ago to become a target. The atmosphere after that, as everyone understands, not directly cheerful but the band can complete the gig without any further incidents.
