Motörhead has always been a great live band and whatever line-up they had they all had a perfect synergy together. Back in 1983 the band had reached a point that they could no longer see a future with their record label Bronze Records. It all ended with a court case and all money from the record sales were held back while the court case was solved. That meant that the band were without an income for almost two years. All the band could do was to look for more touring income. So during late 84 and the whole of 85 the band were touring everywhere. Australia, New Zealand, Hungary, Uk, a massive tour over Sweden playing places that never had seen a metal show, England, American and Canada also had visits from the band. In the end band survived and could sign a new record deal and enter a studio to finally release a new album, Orgasmatron, in 1986. This album was recorded during those touring years. The band had at this time gone from The Three Amigos to becoming a four piece line-up when Saxon drummer Pete Gill joined them. This album captures the band live at First Avenue in Minneapolis on the 11th of December when the band was touring with Canadian speed metal band Exciter and Danish heavy metal band Mercyful Fate. As usually the volume was thunderously loud, the bass notes would hammer through your chest and make it difficult to breath if you were anywhere near the stage. The setlist is exemplary, with a strong performance that sees the Iron Fist material fairly warmly received by an enthusiastic audience, also on here is their new hit track Killed By Death. So new material and old classics is mixed into the set list. So an album that could sit proudly into your Motorhead collection. And remember; they were Motorhead and they played Rock and fucking Roll – Don’t ever forget ’em…
