Overkill was originally released on 7″ and 12″ vinyl pressings in 1979 and it reached number 39 on the UK Singles Chart. The song was a live favourite and was frequently featured at Motörhead concerts, often in an extended version and it would also be the final song Motorhead ever played live. This classic track was re-recorded in Los Angeles by Lemmy, Phil Campbell and Mickey Dee in 2006/2007 and the end result is nothing but stunning. The track was produced by Bob Kulick and just listen to this brutal version. Mickey Dee’s double bass drums makes it a real killer.
