Description

Red vinyl with poster. Limited 100 copies.

This album was recorded at the Limburghall in Genk, Belgium on the 21st of October 1983 when the band were out on the Iron Fist tour. The Iron Fist tour was split into 3 legs and the overall tour lasted for 9 months, starting on 17 March 1982 and ending on 26 November 1982. The first leg was a trip over to Europe then the band headed to North America but early into that American tour Fast Eddie Clarke was fired (after a gig at the New York Palladium on 14 May 1982). Fast Eddie Clarke was very unhappy at the results of the Iron Fist album and the recording sessions with the Plasmatics were the final straw. He spoke loudly about it and the Philty and Lemmy then decided it was time to Eddie to leave. According to Joel McIver, Clarke had said: [Philthy] was the main instigator in my being excluded from the band. Notice I do not call it leaving, as it was not my choice. I had imagined dying onstage with Motörhead, so it was a blow when they didn’t want me in the band any longer. Clarke was replaced by former Thin Lizzy and Wild Horses lead guitarist Brian Robbo Robertson after Anvil frontman Steve “Lips” Kudlow turned down the offer to play with Motörhead. Not only is this interesting because it features Robbo on guitar ist also interesting for the fact that the band performs a cover version of Nadine. Opening act for the band at this gig in Belgium were local act Killer.
