Purgatory Warpig were recorded at the second night of the Golden Summernight Festival in 1981 (16th of August). This festival took place at the Zeppelinfield in Nuremberg, Germany and the line-up for this day were; Foreigner, Kansas, Blue Öyster Cult, Motörhead, Blackfoot, 38 Special, More and Iron Maiden.
