Municipal Waste are loud, fast, and heavy as hell. Their second album, Hazardous Mutation, is reeking of punk attitude and bursting with uptempo Thrashcore enthusiasm, Municipal Waste ride the divide between old school mosh and simple hardcore purity with an updated take on a timeless sound. Coming on like Dealing It meets Spreading The Disease the band veer between lunatic Thrash and hardcore crosover stomp. This was the first album featuring ex-Discordance Axis drum king Dave Witte supplying the beat. Vocalist Tony Forresta’s deliver the lyrics in 100 mph which makes it hard to catch up with all the lyrics and thats a shame because the band deliver some really funny texts. So if you don’t absolutely love fast and loud thrash metal then you’d probably better avoid this. To the casual listener a lot of the songs can sound extremely similar. Fans of thrashcore and pure thrash just need to hear this one.
