A split single between Nacthmystium and Xasthur. The Nacthmystium track was recorded in January 2003 at the Nachtmystium Ritual Chamber. The guitar is raw with high distortion but the riff is still easily heard. The drums are heard easily and are reasonably well-played. The vocals sound very similar to Malefic and can sometimes drown out the drums and guitar but overall they are piercing and powerful. The material on the Xasthur side features 2003 re-recording of material that were originally recorded in 2000. Previous Xasthur albums such as The Funeral Of Being and Nocturnal Poisoning hasn’t been so much about music but of atmosphere which makes their album bleak and drorning. The track performed here however is actually very riffy and the bass sticks out while the vocals are still very much in Xasthur style which is a bit distorted, and very vicious.
