Nameless was founded in Valle Del Cauca in Colombia back in 1992. The band debuted with their first demo 2 years later. A split and an EP followed but then tragedy struck when vocalist Miguel passed away in 1998. After trying to recover from the loss the band searched for a new singer and they found Alejandro Caldas that recorded the vocals for the bands debut album, Dirge, in 2001. However after the release Caldas decided to move to the Usa and the band had to go back and search for a new vocalist again. A demo appeared in 2006 but it would actually take 17 years for the band to release their follow up album to Dirge. The end result was Eternal Grief that was released in 2018. The album has a very solemn feeling with atmospheres that evokes both sadness and torment. If you like your doom metal with some death metal growls and dont mind being in the mood to be swept over by pain, grief and mourning then this is for you. It has several beautiful passages with acoustic parts and piano samples. Grey and melancholic are the right words to describe this death doom release.
