Description
Kanwulf seems to have settled in a focused style with ‘Rasluka Pt. II’ (released before the part I) and it's definitely excellent material and worth the time of every Nargaroth fan. The material is not quite up to step with ‘Black Metal Ist Kreig’ or ‘Herbstleyed’ but it definitely gets the job done and is perhaps a telling sign of bigger things to come. The songs are rather longish with drawn out phrases of fast tremolo strums, creating a desperate forward motion on top of mostly fast and basic drums. This is definitely for the esoteric as a casual fan who liked ‘Herbstleyed’ because of its epic qualities or liked ‘Black Metal Ist Krieg’ for the variety may be frightened off by the ultra simplicity and the just plan ugliness of ‘Rasluka Pt. II’. Also, the songs contain no more than about two 'movements' in which the music 'changes' and while it works fine for the material presented, it may turn off casual fans. In conclusion, this is a worthy purchase for any fan of real Black metal and a nice addition for any Nargaroth fan. Track listing: 1. Introduction – In Stillem Gedenken 2.
