Narnia was formed in 1996 by Christian Rivel/Liljegren and Carl Johan Grimmark. Enter The Gate, was released in 2006 and up until then it was one of the best albums they had released. The band returned to the more positive message in the line of Long Live The King album. Christian’s vocals are mid-range and not too over the top so people who are turned off by the high pitched squeals of bands like Stratovarius will appreciate this. Their singer actually has a unique aggressive tone yet all the while showing a powerful clear range. Guitarist Carl Grimmark is top notch rivaling greats like Yngwie Malmsteen and although there are plenty of keyboards they do not overburden the music like some other bands of this genre. For you who thought the band had it in them but never felt they reached their full potential then check this out as they delivers in spades. Fans of Blind Guardian, Kamelot, Dio, Rob Rock, Impelletteri and Malmsteen should love this.
