Recorded in an intimate concert setting at The Aquarius Theatre in Los Angeles, Neil Diamond sings many of his greatest hits including ‘Sweet Caroline’, ‘September Moon’ and ‘Forever in Blue Jeans’. This is Neil Diamond firmly entrenched in the safe, middle-of-the-road, cabaret period of his career, a long way off in the dim and distant future. Filmed in 1988 in a small theatre before a well groomed and well choreographed audience, it has the feel of a slightly tacky T.V. special. Running through his biggest hits, Diamond vocal ability may have eroded a bit in the ’80s, yet he still knew how to get a live crowd excited.
