�Novembrine Waltz� was Novembre�s fourth album, and was originally released in 2001. Since their formation in 1990 under the name of Catacomb, the Italians have risen to become one of the leading names in atmospheric death/doom metal. �Novembrine Waltz� was another stellar example of progressive death metal from these pioneers, exuding a quality of musicianship and writing often comparable to Opeth. With tracks flowing between acoustic sections and pure heaviness there is a great dynamic and maturity to the album – the vocals of Carmelo Orlando delivering impressive clean passages blended with the classic �growled� style to bring to life the poetic and dream-like lyrics. �Novembrine Waltz� also contains a fine rendition of the Kate Bush classic �Cloudbursting�, with former The 3rd And The Mortal singer Ann-Mari Edvardsen handling the vocals for the song. The album was recorded at Outer Sounds Studios in Rome, 2001, and was produced by the band�s own Giuseppe Orlando.
