Omnizide was founded in the second half of the 90s but the first two tracks that could be heard by this Swedish black metal band were released on this vinyl single in 2011. The best-known member of this threefold unholy force is Mikael Nox, vocalist for Craft. Unlike Craft, Omnizide sounds more Swedish than Norwegian. Perhaps due to the flowing guitar lines that dominate the filthy black metal. More Swedish than Norwegian, yet it is better summarized as pure Scandinavian black metal without technical, progressive, or symphonic frills. Grim, simple, and featuring Michael’s unmistakable demonic, rasping vocals. Even on the mid-tempo Desecration Art, Omnizide keeps the listener’s attention, thanks primarily to the sick vocals. In itself, this is simply strong black metal that is better than 80% of all the ordinary crap out there.
