Swedish cd single in cardsleeve
In 1982 Kee Marcello and Alex Tyrone (aka Peo Thyrén from Noice) decided to start the ultimate glam rock band, mixing their influences of 70s glam with a punk/metal attitude. They met singer Bo Stagman (known as Bosse Belsen and later Zinny J. Zan), at the Stockholm rock club Ritz and they recorded his vocals on the first demos the very same night. To complete the line-up Peo talked to Noice drummer Fredrik Von Gerber and the guitar player Danny Wilde (Dan Segerstedt from Roadrats) to join the band. Zinny J Zan used his connection with Sanji Tandan (owner of Tandan records) to help them get a record deal. The first result was the We Go Rocking vinyl single released in 1982. The single became a minor hit in Sweden and Poison kind stole the song and turned it into ‘I Want Action’ for their debut album ‘Look What The Cat Dragged In’. Easy Action sued the band and finally in 1989 they got some money out of it. Not all in Poison were upset by this as CC Deville didn’t mind hanging out with Easy Action while the law suit was going on. In 2008 the band re-recorded this track with the new line-up as the SGP wanted to make it an anthem to the Swedish Speedway Grand Prix of 2008. This cd single was included in the program when the tournament hit Ullevi stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden, in May 2008. The band also performed at the stadium. The B-side for the single was the brand new song Jack’s Back.
