Private pressed vinyl only release. Red vinyl limited to 129 copies
Swedish traditional metal exponents Overdrive delivered their most pulsating and heaviest album of their career with Angelmaker. The work on Angelmaker started in late 2008 and finally the band sat down together in February of 2010 to select from the 25 songs that had been written. 18 songs were selected. Rehearsals began and in May of 2010 the recordings started. This time it was no hurry and the aim was simple the goal was to make best Overdrive album ever. The recording was finished in August of 2010 and then the band drafted 10 people to help evaluate and select the final track listing for the album which proved to be an eye-opening experience for the band. This limited private pressed vinyl was released the month after Angelmaker and should be seen as a listening companion to Angelmaker. This vinyl contains three tracks from the album together with six previously unreleased tracks. These are the tracks that didn’t make it on ‘Angelmaker.’ Not because they were bad, but for various other reasons such as we didn’t want two long epic songs on the album, a couple of songs were a bit too similar in style, one was a bit too different in style etc. However the combination of these songs, plus three tracks carefully selected from the album to fit the formula, has made this an album we feel very proud of, says guitarist Janne Stark
