For more than 25 years Pagan Rites have been playing thrashing black metal in the style of the old masters such as Bathory, Venom and others, Pagan Rites are among the most sinister acts to have ever been exported from Sweden. If you thought the band had given up then think again. The band has had its ups and downs and most thought the band had been throwing in the towel after the material recorded in Varberg back in 2010 (that ended up on the Preachers From Hell EP). However Devil Lee Rot (Thomas Karlsson) will never get Pagan Rites out of his blood. The 2020 comback album had the appropriate title Born Again. However the rebirth had taken place already a few years earlier, as a solo project by the Lord Of Pagan; Devil Lee. The first sign of life was this 3-track recording that was released in 2015. Lord Of Pagan, Antichrist Reborn and Born Again, all suitable titles for a rebirth of one of the most Satanic black metal artists ever heard on this side of the river Styx.
