Paganini has decided to sum up some thirty years of existence with a collection. The Swiss Rock band is comprised of Marco Paganini the vocalist that gave the band its name, Dale Powers on guitar, Diego Rapacchietti is the drummer and Kiki Cretin is on bass. Marco was in a band called Viva before he formed Paganini, so he included songs from that period in this collection as well. If Viva and Paganini aren’t familiar then you might still have heard Marco Paganini because he was also vocalist for the legendary Nwobhm act Tygers Of Pan Tang. I guess how much you like this album depends on how familiar you are with Viva and Paganini. By todays standard the tracks here doesn’t come out as the most clever hard rock tracks in the world but that’s what it sounded like in the early and mid 80s. There are some ballads, the Viva hits and the best of the Paganini tracks. Marco also displays a cruder and louder voice on the faster tracks like Falling In Love, Dont Let Me Down, Berlin By Night, Spending Money and Break It Up. All in all it’s a nice collection for those familiar with Marcos earlier work. I don’t think they will gain so much new fans with the album. However its rude, crude and screwed, drinking and swearing pub metal and everybody needs some rock like this in their collection. Your mates will probably think you are nuts…but who gives a damn right? Now where the hell is my bottle of Jack
