Rogga Johansson’s long lasting death metal act Paganizer has a comprehensive discography featuring 15 studio albums, a slew of EPs, compilations, and splits. This band is operating in the underground and they have been creating some of the purest death metal the world has ever lain ears upon. However even if the band has been going for more than 25 years they rarely play live. Death At Bryggaren is recorded at one of those rare occasions. This live show took place in the autumn of 2024 at Bryggaren in Vastervik, not far from the bands hometown of Gamleby. So one of the most interesting things to see on a Paganizer live album is what tracks the band will be playing. There have been several Pagaziner compilation albums over the years but most of them has been put together by a record label. So on a live setlist we actually see what Rogga and his comrades thinks are their best tracks. What we have hear is a great mix with tracks dating back to the early years pulled from Promoting Total Death and Dead Unburied to a lot of newer tracks, as for example we have two tracks from their latest album Flesh Requiem. Fans of Swedish death metal and hate overproduced live albums then this is for you. This is definitely a raw and real sounding live release with some amazing and powerful songs.
