The fifth album by Paradise lost, Draconian Times, would see them stray further away from their doom/death roots, but it was their most commercially successful and critically acclaimed album, reaching #16 in the album charts, and is viewed as their finest album by many of their fans. It saw them progress from their previous album Icon, which already showed the band creating more accessible albums, yet not losing their patented anger and force. Forever Failure was the second single to be released from this album. It includes two non album tracks. The track Forever Failure, includes a sample of the voice of Charles Manson several times during the song taken from Charles Manson – The Man who killed the Sixties produced by Box Productions for Channel Four Television Corporation.
