Description

Paradox was formed in Würzburg in 1986 by two young musicians, Charly Steinhauer and Axel Blaha. Both of them were founding members of German metal bands Overkill, Venom and Warhead since 1981. Early 1986 they finally changed the band name to Paradox. In July 1986, the band recorded a demo, drawing the attention of Roadrunner Records. The 86 Demo is simply awesome, with a killer live vibe which is kinda missing from Product Of Imagination. The production is superb, nearly perfect, with the only minor flaw being that the vocals are slightly less produced (but still sound excellent). Paradoxs style of technical thrash/speed metal with that great German sound is on full display on every track. The musicianship is simply astounding (they were always under-rated) and the band had a knack for above average song craft. This material easily ranks next to the best Destruction, Rage, Vendetta, early Angel Dust etc. The original 1986 Demo featured 7 tracks including such classics as Kill That Beast, Death, Screaming, And Pain, and Paradox. But things just keep getting better! On top of the original 7 tracks are an additional 6 tracks from the same 86 Demo session. But it aint over yet. We also have 4-tracks from a rehearsal recording the band did in 1984. All these bonus tracks are pure gold for Paradox fans as several of the bonus tracks never made it to the album. Thrash to the death and buy or die!!!!
