Description
Limited vinyl with magazine featuring an old interview with the band Peste Noire: Bubonic Plague in English, aka the Black Death, one of the worst disasters ever to befall Europe which eliminated 1/3 of its population during the 1340s. According to its members the band does play pure Black Metal for Satanic rituals, not humanistic NS pseudo BM. Evolved from the remnants of the legendary French Les Légion Noires scene (VLAD TEPES, MÜTIILATION, TORGEIST etc.), PESTE NOIRE mixes the best of the grim dissonant black metal presented earlier by the aforementioned acts with the 'weirdness' and (at times) acoustic approach of the likes of VED BUENS ENDE and very early IN THE WOODS. It's hard to outdo such a genius album like their debut 'La sanie de siècles' but it seems these French have done it again! The second album is even more twisted, bizarre, farcical and dissonant, 'Folkfuck folie' brings 12 astonishing new Peste Noire tracks, all filled with hateful disgust, eerie angst and torturous depression! Unique black metal! 4 of these tracks are old ‘Lorraine’ rehearsal tracks that have been re-recorded, re-interpreted and re-worked Track listing: 1. L'Envol du Grabataire (Ode à Famine) 2. Chute Pour Une Culbute 3. La Fin Del Secle 4. D'un Vilain 5. Condamne A La Pondaison (Legende Funèbre) 6. La Cesarienne 7. Maleicon 8. Amour Me M Amoit Ne Je Li 9. Psaume IV 10. Extrait Radiophonique D Antonin Artaud 11. Folkfuck Folie 12. Paysage Mauvais
