Italian traditional metal act Phantom Lords were formed in 2002. In the early days the band performed covers of Iron Maiden, Metallica, Helloween, Megadeth, Edguy, and many others; names that heavily influenced the band. Their first demo got a good response and when the band did well and local music contest then they soon got a record deal. Their first full length album ‘Temple Of Metal’ were recorded at Zenith Recording studio by Frank Andiver. The final result is far away from many of the pompous symphonic power metal acts that hails from the same country. Phantom Lords shows their influences with this album. You will here similarities to bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica and on a track like ‘Thirsting For Vengeance’ Phantom Lords take on Manowar at their own game, and ‘Run Insane’ shows this familiar Maiden-esque double-guitar work.
