Aprils LA Sports Arena, Junes Nassau Coliseum and Junes Boston Garden are among the three biggest audiences on the 1975 US Tour. Material from the Boston show (18th of June) is wonderfully documented on this album but unfortunately to complete. The show opened with materal that later would become songs on Animals, the album released 2 years after. This was an era where big bands could try our their new songs, and evolving them, live before an audience. What we get here is an album that starts an hour into the show with Speak To Me and Breathe and then its complete up to the 20 minute long version of Echoes that are missing. But even if its not complete its an amazing show. It is absolute on fire, and it shows just how incredible Pink Floyd were live during this period. The songs were synched up with videos rear-projected onto a large circular screen above the band/stage (including topless slo-mo dancing by Roger Water’s then Penthouse centerfold wife, Jude). During On the Run a 3-foot Buck Rogers like model rocket spewing sparks slid down a wire across the Garden to crash and burn behind the band on stage. As if this isnt enough we also get 5 amazing demo versions. Any Floyd fan need to get this one
