Plaguehurst from the United Kingdom is a black metal act that hails anything Satanic in their lo-fi punk influenced old school blackm etal. The unknown members got together in 2018 and a year later they released their debut album Communionem. It has the usual tremolo picking, blast beats and grim black metal screams. However listen to a track like I Am The Fucking Pariah and then when the singer actually sings instead of screams then theirs parts that are Lemmy like which adds that dirty punk sound. Would be great to know who the members behind this band is and if the singer has another band as well. Would be interesting to hear more of that voice in something else than black metal. The recording mixes slow and mid paced parts to fast parts ad some rain and thunder and a dark and raw production and you have a really interesting album. It might take a few spins to be appreciated fully as they are quite subtle. Recommended
