Description
Original 1985 press with lyric insert
Plain Wrap was formed in 1983 in Huntington Beach, California. This was an old-school hardcore punk act with a touch of pop melody. Plain Wrap opened for bands such as Social Distortion, Circle Jerks, Vandals, TSOL, Dead Kennedys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, GBH, The Dickies, The Exploited and many more. Their debut album Orignal Music For A Generic World was released in 1985 and it was anything but generic. Variety was the key here, with an array of tunes ranging from the catchy, hook-filled Why Do Ya Do to the hardcore classic Green Light, Red Light to the funk hit Plain Rap. This was a band that had it all, an upbeat, poppish mix of punk, metal and funk and a fun loving attitude
