Await the primal return of prehistoric darkness and evil. Prehistoric War cult, from Osnabruk in Germany, has once again summoned a bunch of bestial hymns in pure war metal style. Barbaric Metal is the bands first full length album after a few years of splits and Eps. With a band that worship gods such as Sarcofago, Black Witchery, Bestial Warlust and Conqueror and the likes, then you know you will have tremolo riffage, a blast frenzy and an overall primal chaotic feel. However what Barbaric Metal has that most other lacks is that it comes with three different vocal types. One voice is high and another one sounds like a low bestial snarl and then a more normal mid range Cavalera like voice. To keep it simple; the message is hatred and total destruction and music wise its a maelstrom of everything and at the same time its hard to keep track of the structures. More or less pure chaos. Fans of War Metal should love this.
