Description

Quinzy was a hardrock act from Gothenburg, Sweden. Anyone that has read the amazing book Swedish hard rock and heavy metal encyclopedia by Overdrive guitarist Janne Stark have probably added this single to their want list just because of the awesome artwork. However that amazing black and white drawing in the book are in reality pressed on pink paper which might give you a shock when you hold it in your hands. The artwork is great but the two tracks that were recorded at Ljudsparet in Gothenburg and engineered by Jan Hulten aren’t really that impressing. The title track is a hard rock ballad while the B-side is more of a boogie hardrock tune. These two tracks have a more 70s heavy style over them and should please fans into that. The band would return with two tracks on the Pang records compilation album called ‘Made In Gbg’ in 1982. The two tracks on that compilation (‘Marie Marie’ and ‘Jessie’) features more keyboard and sound poppier than the single tracks. Guitarist Terje Hjortander would later go on to better things in Forest, Levitcus and Jet Circus.
