Description

2007 edition on red vinyl. Limited 500 numbered copies

Ratt’s brash, melodic heavy metal made the Los Angeles quintet one of the most popular rock acts of the mid-’80s. The group had its origins in the ’70s group Mickey Ratt, which had evolved into Ratt by 1982. The band debuted with the track “Tell The World” on the first Metal Massacre. That original version was written by vocalist Stephen Pearcy and guitarist Robbin Crosby and didnt feature bassist Juan Croucier or drummer Bobby Blotzer. When Croucier and Blotzer joined then the band recorded and released their self titled album independently in 1983. The album led to a major label contract with Atlantic Records who made sure that the Ratt track were removed from all re-pressings of the Metal Massacre album. Their first album on Atlantic was 1984’s Out Of The Cellar, and it was a major success, reaching the American Top Ten and selling over three million copies. “Round And Round,” the first single drawn from the album, hit number 12, proving the band had pop crossover potential. This limited numbered single features that rare 1982 original version of Tell The World and a live version of their biggest hit Round And Round.

Track list:
1. Round And Round-live
