Raubtier (German: carnivore/predator), the Swedish industrial metal band from Haparanda, released their first album Det Finns Bara Krig (There is only war) in 2009. However, their first single Kamphund had already become a hit on the Swedish radio station Bandit Rock 106,3 at that time. Their albums have so far only been available in Sweden but now the band has released this best of album with three songs from each album so far. With Bestia Borealis the band hopes to conquer the rest of the European market. From their debut album we find, Det Finns Bara Krig and the driving hit single Kamphund along with the title track, Doberman. Skriet Fran Vildmarken is the name of the second album, and here’s tongue twisting titles such as the hymn Varldsherravalde represented. The anthem side of Raubtier can be found on Sveriges Elit from their third album Fran Norrland Till Helvetets Port, a mid tempo track that mixes Sabaton and industrial acts like Rammstein. From their latest album comes Skjut Grav Tig, Qaqortoq and their new party anthem Panzermarsch. Musically Raubtier is something of a mix between Rammstein, Rob Zombie and Sabaton. It has worked very well in Sweden, now well see what the rest of the world will say when they hear Bestia Borealis. Atleast the kamphund has shown its teeth.
