Description
Ukrainan pressed music cassette. Clear cassette without print.
Poland is probably the European country that had the most record labels in the world that only released cassettes. But there were of course lots of other countries that released lots of tapes like Ukraine, Bulgaria and Russia. In Ukraine we had the small The Firm Mlyn Ltd. They released a bunch of compilation tapes in the early to mid 90s. Mostly it was Ukrainian artists but they also released some tapes by major European and American artists..
As the lead singer of Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant seemed invincible, a “Golden God” in the words of journalist/filmmaker Cameron Crowe. Plant may have embraced rock stardom during Zeppelin’s zenith in the mid-70s, but the singer has spent the decades following the band’s 1980 dissolution exploring the road less-traveled. Beginning with his 1982 solo debut, Pictures At Eleven, Plant pursued a feverishly adventurous solo career, embracing synthesizers and art rock that seemed to be the antithesis of Zeppelin’s majestic hard rock. This album leaves out all of the Zeppelin material and concentrate on Plants solo album. It doesnt feature any material from the 1985 album Shaken N Stirred. Maybe the reason was that the synth-pop sound of that album sounded a lot out of date in 1995 when this compilation was released. This compilation captures the musical wanderlust that defines Plant’s career in a rather good way.
