Rock-SM was a Swedish rock competition hold all over the country and it started back in 1982. The idea for this competition came from Thomas Erdtman who arranged the first edition. That years winner was Europe with the two tracks ‘In The Future To Come’ and ‘The King Will Return’. The winner each year received a record contract and we all know what happened to Europe when they finally landed their first record deal. Thomas Erdtman became Europes manager in the beginning so he left Rock-SM for others to hold. Thomas Erdtman was then ask back to hold the 1991 years competition. It was that year sponsored by the Swedish postal service. And anyone that was interested to compete could go to the postal office and ask for this cassette. Side A starts with Europes ‘The Final Countdown’ as introduction then Thomas Erdtman speaks about what happened when he last held the competition back in 1982 then he tells exactly how you shall do to compete in the 1991 years competition. Side B is empty this is where you should have recorded your track in case you wanted to participate. Then you should return the cassette to the competition. This means that most of this cassettes were all sent back and tapes not used was thrown away. Luckily theres always some lazy ones that thinks about participating but never gets it done in time so for the first time I can offer one of those tapes for sale.
