The Rolling Stones Tour of 1978 was a tour that took place immediately following the release of the group’s 1978 album Some Girls. It started out in Usa and during that tour Peter Tosh was acted as opening act on several shows and was sometimes joined by Mick Jagger for their duet Don’t Look Back. Before the tour started the band went into tTodd Rundgrens Bearsville Studios in Woodstock, New York during May and June for tour rehearsals. They were joined by Sugar blue on harp and Ian McLagan on keyboards. During these sessions they not only rehearsed material from their recent albums, they also tried out some nifty Rock n Roll and blues numbers. And yes they even did the odd rarity Cocksucker Blues and briefly laid their sweaty hands on early Jagger/Richards compositions like Play With Fire and Tell Me. This album features material from those rehearsal weeks in a glorious studio sundboard recording.
