Sacrilegious Impalement is a stellar Finnish black metal act that draws upon all the expected influences, in particular Bathory and Hellhammer. Old school black metal but with a completely new look. In just eight minutes, Sacrilegious Impalement shoots in two songs. Both raw, old school black with a wonderful groove. The latter is especially noticeable in Behead The Infants Of God, because it gives the song a wonderful flow. Kaosbringer’s raw vocals and Impaler Von Bastard’s repetitive playing style characterize the rest of the music and arouse the desire for more, much more! The title track is most in line with the previous work, as it has the same characteristic, dragging playing style, alternating with fierce drum bursts and accelerations. Because the groovy character is not as evident here as in the second song, the effect is much darker. Sacrilegious Impalement is very varied in details and they know how to create really wonderful pieces of music.
