Sacriversum was a Polish metal band formed in 1992. The band debuted with the death metal album The Shadow Of Golden Fire in 1994. But during the years that followed and before the band would return with their second album, Soteria, a lot would happened. When the band released Soteria they were no longer a pure death metal act. Instead their music had evolved and had a much more gothic doom death metal sound. The band shows their huge potential with tracks such as Sacred Betrayal and Overwhelming Monuments. The band also goes back in time by the end of the album. Hamartia feels like a melodic death metal tune and Paradise sounds like Paradise Lost from their Gothic era.
