When it comes to an artist that really defines the glam metal movement in the 80s its Sally Steele. She got her start when she was only 14 years old when she started taking photographs from bands such as Black Sabbath, Kiss, and Aerosmith. Then she became an MTV video vixen, appearing in videos with Eric Carmen, Bruce Willis, Loverboy, and Duke Jupiter. At 16 she was a singer and went to Japan and performed covers. Back in Hollywood in 1986 whe founded her own band Sally Steele. This album features 7 tracks that were recorded during 1988 and 1989. Two of them were produced by mega-producer Paul Sabu. The opening track has a bit heavier riff. Otherwise it sounds anything between Pat Benatar and Ufo. Sally and band were regulars at clubs like The Whisky, Madame Wong’s West, and Coconut Teaszer on Sunset Blvd but the 90s and grunge movement came along and killed most of the bands on the Sunset Strip. Sally put her band to rest but she didn’t forget her love of music. In the 2004 she formed the Vegas Rocks magazine.
